The Sonny Angel mini figure collection was first released in Japan in 2005 with the launch of "Sonny Angel Animal Series 1". In 2006, Studio Brillantine introduced the Sonny Angel Animal Series 1 in Toronto, Canada.
The role of "Sonny Angel Limited Editions and Special Editions" makes the joy of collecting Sonny Angel even more special since they add an extra level to one's Sonny Angel collection as they are rare and only available for a limited time and never again.
Currently in 2023, there are 11 kinds of the "regular" series available from the Sonny Angel Collection and represent the core collection, namely: Animal Series 1, 2, 3, 4, Marine, Fruit, Vegetable, Sweets, Flower, Hippers Animal and Hippers Harvest.
Limited & Special Editions: These are 10 of the more recent Sonny Angel Limited and Special Editions which make collecting Sonny Angels more fun adding extra excitement for the Sonny Angel collector and fanbase.

Creatures x Donna Wilson UK / 2022
Sonny Angel has collaborated with London-based textile artist and designer Donna Wilson. Donna Wilson’s Creatures include mysterious and lovely characters knitted from the softest lambswool and cashmere yarns. With this series, Creatures has been brought into the world of Sonny Angel. Creatures are playful and unique, cute, surreal, and witty.
Cherry Blossom Peaceful Spring / 2022
Inspired by “Green Cherry Blossoms”, this new series expresses the renewal of spring. The pale gradation of pink and green reminds us of the regrowth and reawakening of the season. Sonny Angels’s understated colors enable him to blend in with the cherry blossoms creating a beautiful and soothing spring scene.
Circus / 2022
The Circus Series, originally launched in 2019, has been renewed with new characters, bright colors and fanciful costumes. In addition to classic circus characters, this edition includes the flashy production values and energy of the extravagant show. Sonny Angel, as Ringmaster, is in the center ring introducing the fascinating performers.
